Position Purpose:

The Director of Product Management and Innovation defines Stericycle’s overall product strategy and executes upon opportunities/programs to grow and differentiate Stericycle’s portfolio. This role is responsible for driving business unit strategy including New Product Development, M&A, NPD, competitive intelligence, etc., with the assistance of the VP Product Management and Innovation and the SVP of Marketing and Strategy. The position will support our RWCS (National and Independent) business unit.

Key Job Activities:

Develops product strategy/lifecycle management to support current and new products, features, enhancements, processes, and programming targeted to achieve maximum ROI, durability, targeted profitable revenue growth, share position, customer satisfaction, and retention


Develops, aligns, and presents business cases that support new products and enhancement opportunities. Gains a deep understanding of customer needs as compared to organizational competency, capacity, and readiness.


Manages programs that translate ideas into action. Assesses/monitors impact on KPI’s and alignment with overall business strategy. Ensures cross-functional readiness for launches/enhancements in close partnership with go-to-market and operational teams


Monitors, analyzes, and leverages market research, industry trends, customer insights, regulatory developments, and competitive intelligence to identify the most effective product value propositions, architect a product strategy roadmap, drive decision making, develop appropriate product metrics and goals, and create sustained competitive advantage


Education: Required Education: in Bachelors Preferred Education: in Equivalent or MBA Experience (North America & LATAM):
  • Education equivalent to a Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field, preferably from a top tier institution is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to develop concise and effective communication tailored to specific audiences including senior leadership.
  • Five or more years of marketing, strategy, or other relevant business experience with a focus on strategy and product management.
  • Proven experience in ROI driven product management practices.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects.
  • Proven innovation and strategic mindset.
